Hotel Task Manager

The Task

As part of an RFP, we were tasked with creating a prototype for a dashboard that would be used by front-desk associates at a hotel. This dashboard would unify customer and reservation data that is currently spread across multiple platforms. The specific use-cases we were tasked with solving were to allow associates to fulfill a customer request for a fluffy pillow and a mobile check in/key card.

The Challenges

  • We had one week
  • Limited access to resources
  • Access to screenshots of existing platforms, but no access to the platforms themselves

The Process

  1. Define the problem
  2. Research different types of task management systems
  3. Whiteboard sketch session
  4. Initial prototype
  5. Guerrilla user feedback
  6. Final prototype/presentation

The Result

I presented the final prototype to a group of client stakeholders and we received very positive feedback. Their final decision is still pending!
